I’ve always believed that true luxury isn’t found in five-star hotels or the finest champagne, although I certainly appreciate both.
For me, luxury is having nowhere else to be.
It’s lingering over breakfast because the conversation is too enjoyable to end. Wandering through an art gallery without checking the time. Discovering a hidden wine bar neither of us expected to find. Taking the long way home simply because we’re enjoying each other’s company.
Some of my favourite memories have come from moments that were never planned. A spontaneous weekend away. A drive through the countryside. Watching the sunset from a quiet balcony with a glass of champagne in hand. Those are the moments that stay with you.
Perhaps that’s why I’ve always preferred longer engagements. They allow us to relax, laugh, connect, and create memories that linger long after we’ve said goodbye.
